why Lloyd Dobler?
i know people are so crazy about that boombox scene, but what i'm crazy about is the idea of a guy named Lloyd Dobler....
an underachiever who wears a Clash T-shirt plus a long trenchcoat, calls kickboxing "sport of the future", consider eating at the same foodcourt as a date, took a candid picture of you and him without you knowing, a guy that definitely will kick shards of glass out of your way when you're walking, a guy that won't give up even though u dumped him....
yepp.. it's Lloyd Dobler!
the idea of such a guy is just too overwhelming..
he became the standard that no man cud even reach, yaknow... not in a million years... haha...

BUT HE IS A GENIUS..

Matt Saracen-- Friday Night Lights
Matt Saracen: you don't have to worry about me, in a fight i just kinda stand at the back and just yell stuff.
first of all, for those of you who have no idea who i'm talking about, do see this fanvid, also this one, or you just better watch FNL instead... (he's not the main character though, but definitely the most adorable)
the difference between Matt Saracen character than others, is that there's nuthin extraordinary bout him, he cud be anyone around us..
typical awkwardly adorable teens...
he cudn't even talk right in front of his crush at first, and when finally she said 'yes' for a date, he stood her up to calm down his grandma wit serenading "mr.sandman"..
that, to me, is definitely, an "AAAWWWHHHH moment"...
though after a while the girl dumped him just because he's to "nice"...
stupid girl.. and yeah, she does regret it in the end.. (screw her matt! do me.. haha)
the best part is that he has this abandon-puppy charm in him (yep, his father is in Iraq, and he is left to take care his not-so-well grandma, his girlfriend dumped him, his coach left him for a better job, yadda yadda)..
it just make me want to put him in a blanket, cuddle him and say "it's gonna be OK!" everytime i watched FNL.. haha...
